This is so sad - a lovely modest man gone too soon. I first met Darren when he and Emma moved into the house across the road. We both had an interest in cars and became great friends. Luckily we were able to enjoy many happy hours together drinking a coffee or going to car and motorbike shows. One day about 2 years ago I started discussing pensions and he shocked me by saying that he wouldn't live long enough to receive a state pension. Sadly that became true. Darren never moaned about his illness and we just talked about our hobby like 'petrolheads' do, it provided a distraction for him. Life can be so cruel. Rob
